Types of Membership

JUNIOR MEMBER: Those who are under 19 years of age as of January 1. All privileges; Half Dues

OPEN MEMBER: Those who are 19 years + of age as of January 1. All privileges; Full Dues

ASSOCIATE MEMBER: Non-flying members of the immediate family of all Open Members and anyone so deemed by proper vote of the membership. No privileges, No Dues.

FLYING SPOUSE of OPEN MEMBER: All privileges; Half Dues

HONORARY/LIFETIME MEMBER: Flying member appointed by Board of Directors. Field Privileges, No Dues.

TEMPORARY MEMBER: Those who are temporarily living or working in the area for six months or less (AMA membership required) Field privileges only; Half dues.

Membership Dues

The amount of dues shall be recommended by the Board of Directors and affirmed by a majority vote of the membership present and voting at any regular meeting.

The dues shall be payable on January 1st of each year and must be paid in full by January 31st.

All dues collected shall be entered upon the books of DA for general use and ar not refundable.

As of January 2010, standard dues are $100 annually. New members and reinstated members joining after January 31st will pay a prorated amount (annual dues divided by 12) times the number of months remaining in the year.

To be eligible for prorated dues, membership must have been lapsed for at least 6 months. If lapsed time is less than 6 months, the reinstated member will be responsible for the entire year's dues.

New members and those reinstated after January 31st shall pay a $10 processing fee.

Any member more that thirty (30) days delinquent in dues payment will be removed from the membership and reinstatement must be approved by the club.
